Challenger STEM Learning Center Open House
Posted by: Bill Floyd
Details:
Staff will be on hand to showcase our educational mission and purpose brought about as a tribute to seven Challenger 51-L crew members by their families including Founding Chair June Scobee Rodgers, Ph.D. from Chattanooga.

We opened in 1995 at the corner of East 5th Street and Palmetto as the 25th in the series of Challenger Learning Centers and the first on a university campus. In these years and ones to come we strive to influence the many thousands of students stepping through our doors, K-Post Secondary, to embark on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) related disciplines with various space-related mission simulations, hands-on classroom activities not easily replicated elsewhere, summer camps, and teacher training opportunities.

Come on by between 10-2 on Saturday, May 19, 2012, to get a taste of an out-of-this-world adventure. We would enjoy having you!
