Caitlin Boyle presents "Operation Beautiful"

Details:
Location: UC Auditorium

Tired of watching people pick themselves apart, Caitlin Boyle scribbled a note that said, "YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL" and stuck it on the mirror at her gym. After sharing on her blog, people all over the world began following suit, kick-starting a movement now known as "Operation Beautiful". Caitlin will share her program and show the audience what companies are really "selling" them through their ads.

Patten Performances Present: The Secret Sisters

Details:
The Secret Sisters� incredible story is as simple and true as the effortless harmonies that have garnered them all the attention from the Hunger Games soundtrack and are bringing them to the UTC Fine Arts Center to open the Patten season this year.

It was the sisters� - Laura and Lydia Rogers - vocals and their love and respect for music and harmony that first caught the attention of T Bone Burnett, who signed on as Executive Producer. As Burnett explains, �I�ve been making music for over forty years and The Secret Sisters are as close to pure as it gets. Listening to them sing, you hear a sound that is timeless and of the moment. You hear the history of rural American music from the 1920�s and a reverence for every musical genre this country has produced.�

Join us for this evening of some of the finest talent we�ve ever featured!

Orpheus and Euridice

Details:
UTC�s Departments of Music and Theatre & Speech, in special collaboration with Theater for the New South, will present Orpheus and Euridice by Ricky Ian Gordon on September 21 at 7:30 p.m. in the Roland Hayes Concert Hall in UTC�s Fine Arts Center, 752 Vine St., Chattanooga. The Greek tale of true love and irrevocable loss, told in a song cycle, features musicians Tim Hinck, Sara Snider Schone and Nikolasa Tejero, with dance performances by Cayce Gearrin and Cinnamon Smith. The production also features designers Gaye Jeffers and Alex Miller-Long with stage direction by Blake Harris. The recital is free of charge and open to the general public.
