Mindset for Academic Success
1999 UNIVERSITY STUDIES: Mindset for Academic Success (1 credit hour) is a course designed for freshmen who go on probation after the first semester in college. The purpose of the course is to teach strategies for academic success and to develop a new MINDSET (Motivation, Initiative, Navigation, Direction, Study Skills, Expectations and Time Management). As a result of enrolling in this course, students will learn what needs to be changed to achieve higher grades in college. Students enrolled in this course will earn one hour of graded, elective credit.
