4/24/15………..Family/Small Business Assistant Needed

We are in search of a motivated, responsible, and reliable person to fill a part-time position ASAP. The candidate will need to be able to work through the summer and can expect weekly hours ranging from 15-30 hours with weekend availability a must.  

Day-to-day tasks include childcare for 9 month old, helping run errands, helping with household/business cleaning and organizing, and filling in the remainder of the hours for two different businesses (retail sales and paddle board rentals).  Hourly pay is $10.

4/22/15………………Runner at the Law Office of Ramer & Hedrick, located near Hamilton Place Mall

We are looking for someone dependable who has their own transportation, since he or she will need a vehicle to do the job. Typical hours would be Monday-Friday from 2-6 PM.

The job consists of answering the phones and doing the daily court run to file paperwork in the courts (this is where the car comes in). His or her mileage will be paid.

There is no deadline to apply but we will need someone as soon as possible.

The Hamilton County Department of Education School Age Child Care Program is looking for college students that are interested in gaining experience working with children.

Applicants must:

  • Enjoy working with school age children
  • Provide direct instruction and supervision for students in child care
  • Be available to work before school from approximately 6 – 8:30 AM and/or after school from approximately 2:30 – 6 PM (varies per school) or between the hours of 6 AM and 6 PM through the summer

Assistants starting pay starts at $9.18 per hour and hours vary week to week depending on attendance.

Time Commitment: Approximately 10-12 hours/month that includes: every other Friday from 11:30a-1:30p, a Thursday evening (every other month) from 6p-8p, and additional community events that happens after business hours.

Qualifications: An outgoing, responsible person who is comfortable talking to people and able to easily share the SOW brand and mission with visitors at events at SOW as well as community events. Must be willing to take care of simple aspects such as taking out trash and returning the event space to the condition in which it was found (including, but not limited to: taking trash out, wiping down counters, putting furniture in its place).

North Chattanooga family seeks nanny for 3 children. Hoping you can start May 11, but May 18 would be good too! We have two dogs, so please consider that when applying.

We need help finishing up the school year with school pickups usually 3:00 to 6:00 and driving to activities. After the end of school around May 18, we need an energetic individual full time to help us this summer.

Unity of Chattanooga will train two technicians to operate the video and audio equipment used in streaming our Sunday service. 

Work two to three Sundays a month, 8:45 to 12:15.  Training pay is $10 an hour, advancing to $12 an hour, usually within three Sundays.  After learning to operate our video switcher or be the technical director, pay increases to $15 an hour.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Installation of lighting systems in accordance with plans
  • Speaking with the customer to up-sell other products or services

  • Inventory management and replenishment
  • Running and burying low voltage wiring in landscape areas and lawns

  • Clean up of all areas affected by installation

  • Assisting with home shows

  • In-depth training and support by OLP will provide necessary knowledge of lighting products, installations, and repair techniques.
  • Knowledge of Windows operating system
  • Ability to lift and carry up to forty pounds
  • Ability to use a trenching shovel for extended periods
  • Skill with hand tools such as drills and screwdrivers
  • Ability to apply training to diagnosing and repairing lighting systems

The Gear Closet is accepting applications for part time Store Manager.  This outdoor gear and clothing resale shop accepts donations and consignments.  It is a subsidiary of the non Profit Caribbean SEA Kids 4 Clean Water, so all profits go to youth programs protecting our water. 

The Gear Closet is open 12-6pm Tuesday through Sunday during the Spring through the Fall, with reduced hours during the winter.  It is located at 535 Cherokee Blvd on the North Shore and currently employs 4 part time staff.

Responsibilities of the manager include setting the tone and personality of the shop and getting to know our clientele.  The manager oversees daily operation and customer communications as well as staff scheduling and meetings.  He/She keeps financial records up to date (Quickbooks training is available) and generates monthly consignment reports, quarterly sales tax reports, and annual financial reports.   He/She manages social media with help of store staff and helps plan and execute events.  He/She trains new employees, keeps supplies on hand, and helps seek donations.  He/She is always working to improve the shop, both aesthetically and financially.
