The Career & Student Employment Center, Located in Room 315 University Center, is a free year round job resource center for undergraduates, graduate students and alumni of UTC. A wide variety of services are available, including career fairs, resume workshops, interview skills video tapes, job search seminars, and individual employment counseling.
Through career fairs, job postings, on-campus recruitment and employer information sessions, the Career Center will assist you identify current students and registered alumni. With the exception of career fairs, there is no charge for these services.

Employers (excluding third party recruiters) who have access to the World Wide Web can view resumes and post degree required jobs on eRecruiting, a searchable format database developed by Experience eRecruiting. The database is not open to third party recruiters. First time users must establish an account with eRecruiting to link to the UTC database. To create a first-time Employer Account, click HERE or click on the "Register for eRecruting" link on the left side of this page. Employers already registered with eRecruiting, sign in HERE.

PLEASE READ THIS IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT ERECRUITING!!!!
The Experience eRecruiting system will be shutdown effective June 30, 2015. Experience was bought by Symplicity last year and as a result, UTC will be moving to the Symplicity system in June.
In order to have time to adequately test the new system, we, at UTC, are closing down all access to the Experience eRecruiting system and will not accept any new students and/or employers in this system after June 12. We will be testing the new Symplicity System, June 15 – June 24 and anticipate going live around June 25 or 26. An announcement will be placed on our webpage, www.utc.edu/career, once the new system is live.
The system will allow us to carry over some information but not all. Existing students/employers should have received an email explaining the procedures on saving/downloading their information. If you did not receive that information or have any questions, please call the Career Center at 423-425-4184.
Only full-time degree required jobs are posted on eRecruiting. Part-time/temporary and full-time non-degree required jobs are posted on the Career Web Page at job postings and on the Jobs Board in the Career Center. To post a non-degree full-time or part-time job on the Web Page and Jobs Board, send a brief description, describing job responsibilities, requirements and method of contact by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org, by FAX to (423) 425-4079, or call (423) 425-4184.
The UTC eRecruiting database contains three web resume books containing resumes of undergraduate students, graduate students and alumni registered with the Career Center. Employers may review resumes in one or all of the resume books. A keyword search box is included for a quick search, or "More Search Options" is provided for an advanced search. The database is not open to third party recruiters.
UTC invites employers to interview students on campus during the months of October through April. An on-campus recruitment date can be arranged by call or e-mail to the Career Center at email@example.com. When a date is chosen, a member of the staff will contact the employer to confirm scheduling details, e.g., job posting, number and length of interview sessions, etc.
Copies of resumes and credential files will be provided to the recruiter on the day of the on-campus interviews. Employers who wish to pre-screen student resumes prior to the on-campus recruitment date may request copies of resumes from the Career Center, or review resumes on the Experience eRecruiting database.

Career and Student Employment conducts two major career fair each year and other special career fairs as needed by UTC departments or employers. For Career Fair dates, click HERE . Career fairs bring students and graduates in contact with employers, and highly recommended for students and employers.
