Membership Information

Campus Recreation department is happy to offer memberships to our students, faculty, staff, UTC retirees and alumni. Also, each main member is able to add one (1) Moc One member and up to four (4) Aqua Moc dependents. For membership questions, visit the Campus Recreation Office or call 423.425.4213.

Amenities include:

  • 123,000 square ft. Aquatic and Recreation Center
  • Secure access to ARC & Maclellan Gym
  • Lounge space
  • Basketball/volleyball/soccer courts at the ARC and Multipurpose Courts at Maclellan Gym
  • Indoor track
  • Day use locks and lockers
  • Fitness classes
  • Fitness floor with cardio and weight machines, as well as, free weights
  • 5 lap lanes
  • Hot tub
  • 2 story water slide
  • Access to Intramural sports
  • Access to Outdoor Programming equipment trips and rentals
  • Bouldering wall and climbing tower


Types of Memberships:

FREE  |  Recreation fees ARE included in tuition maintenance fees.

$117 per semester  |  Recreation fees ARE NOT included in tuition maintenance fees.

Summer*  |  $10 for 30 consecutive days or $30 for entire summer

*Summer memberships are only for current students not enrolled in summer classes. This price excludes faculty, staff, alumni and other affiliates.

Price: $125 per 6 months or $20.83 per month via payroll deduction*

TURNS Membership | A more cost efficient gym membership for the faculty and staff that enjoy walking or running on an indoor track. Patrons may also utilize the fitness equipment surrounding the track. This membership does not include fitness classes, main fitness floor or access to the aquatics facility. 

Price: $60 for 6 months or $10 per month via payroll deduction*

*Must be full time faculty or staff to utilize payroll deduction. Adjunct faculty must pay in full.

Price: $180 per 6 months     |      $10 one-time card fee

Alumni are also eligible to add additional members, purchase personal training packages, purchase semester locker rentals and participate in Intramural and Outdoor programs.

Price: $150 per 6 months     |     $10 one-time card fee

UTC Staff Affiliates, include but are not limited to, Aramark employees and UT Medical students/residents.

Price: $75 per 6 months     |     $10 one-time card fee

Moc One: An adult that lives in a member's home. You must provide proof of common residency. Acceptable examples of proof include, but are not limited to, valid driver's license, rental agreement and/or utility bill.

Price: $60 per 6 months [includes up to 4 dependents]    

Aqua Moc: Exclusively for minors.  The minors may utilize the aquatics portion of the Aquatic and Recreation Center only and must be accompanied by an adult/guardian at all times. 

Price: FREE     |     $10 card fee

As a retiree from the University of Tennessee of Chattanooga, UTC Campus Recreation offers a free full-access memberships to you. Retirees are eligible to add additional members, purchase personal training packages and purchase semester locker rentals.

Price: $7 per visit

Limit 1 (one) guest per host. Guests under 18 years of age may only visit the aquatics portion of the Aquatic and Recreation Center.

Guest passes may be bought at the Control Desk upon entry via MasterCard or Visa or online via RecRegistry.

Campus Recreation Policies

Facility Card Access: A valid UTC ID or Campus Recreation pass is required to enter Recreational Facilities during operating hours. Exception: Community facility rentals and private pool parties.

Facility Card Misuse: Improper use of a University ID will result in suspension of building access and is subject to a judicial review. Improper ID use is defined as using someone else's card to gain access into any University building or use of University programs.

Guest Pass: Limit to one (1) guest per host. Host must stay with guest for duration of visit.

Minimum Age Requirement: Minimum age of 18 years old to use the facility. Exception: Aqua Moc membership. Call 423.425.4213 for more information on how to obtain an Aqua Moc membership.

Personal Items: UTC Campus Recreation and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Stolen items may be reported to UTC Police Department.
