Missed Lessons

  • Once a schedule has been agreed upon by the teacher and student, all parties are committed to that schedule. No credits will be given for lessons missed by the student. Teachers are not required to reschedule lessons missed by the students.

Withdrawal

The Cadek Conservatory of Music is a department of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, which includes the Kindermusik programs and the Piano Klass Kidz program. It is governed by the University policies and its departmental polices.

  • A student wanting to withdraw is asked to present a written or email request to his or her instructor. When a student requests withdrawal from the Conservatory, no refunds or credits are provided. For more information see refunds

If withdrawal is inevitable, the student/parent is asked to notify the teacher in writing or via email at Cadek@utc.edu,  within seven days of the last scheduled lesson date the student attended. If this time period is expired, no request, written or verbal, is accepted.

UTC DOES NOT PROVIDE credits or refunds for withdrawal from lessons or classes, regardless of the withdrawal date.  However, an instructor may submit a Request for Withdrawal Exception form at the request of the student/parent. Requests are reviewed within 5-7 business days of the instructor's submission date. These requests are presented to the Head of Department and each case is evaluated individually. There is no guarantee of approval or compensation.  Deadlines for submitting these requests, by terms, are October 1, March 1, and June 1, after which, submissions will not be accepted.
