Degree Tract: Thesis
Advisor: Dr. David Aborn
Research Interests: I am currently researching foraging habits of wintering waterfowl across the Southeast. Growing up an avid outdoorsman, I am now able to use my hunting background alongside my thesis research. I am looking at whether waterfowl species prefer an agricultural habitat or a natural wetland, including rivers and lakes. I work closely with hunters and biologists to obtain waterfowl species from Arkansas to North Carolina and use this data to analyze the stomach contents of each specimen to gain a better understanding for habitat preference and foraging in its area.
