Post Bac Enrollment
Congratulations on your acceptance at UTC. We're excited that you've chosen Chattanooga's University for your post baccalaureate studies! We've outlined the next steps in UTC's enrollment process so you can make sure and secure your space at UTC.
An important first step in becoming a UTC student is to connect to our online portal called MyMocsnet. The link above will give detailed instructions on how to set up your password. Our primary way to contact you with important dates & information is through your official university email account. The University will communicate official information through this account now that you have been accepted. The link to MyMocsNet is located in the upper right hand corner of UTC’s home page www.utc.edu.
(POST BAC 2ND & TEACHER CERTIFICATION STUDENTS ONLY)
More than 75 percent of our students receive some form of financial aid. You can fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) beginning October 1st. In order to receive the most funding possible, we recommend filing by April 1st.
(POST BAC 2ND DEGREE STUDENTS ONLY)
Don't forget to request that your final college transcript be sent to the Undergraduate Admissions office. We will add any pending coursework from your last institution to reflect the most accurate UTC academic record. If you received AP, IB or CLEP credit at your other college or university, you will need to resubmit your original score to the Admissions Office to receive appropriate credit at UTC. (POST BAC NON-DEGREE STUDENTS ONLY)
Your advisement code/registration PIN will be emailed to you once it is available (Spring 2017 - late October, Summer 2017 - late October, Fall 2017 - late March). Use this code to register for classes at your designated registration time. You can find your registration time ticket listed in myMocsNet on the "Academics" tab where it lists "registration status".
(POST BAC TEACHER CERTIFICATION STUDENTS ONLY)
In order to register for courses you must first meet with Avalon Gourlay in the School of Education. Registration for Spring and Summer 2017 will begin in October. Fall 2017 registration will begin in March 2017.
(POST BAC 2ND DEGREE STUDENTS ONLY)
Post Bac 2nd degree students who did not graduate from UTC are required to attend orientation. Post Bac 2nd degree students will register during this time.
If you previously graduated from UTC, please contact the New Student and Family Program's office at (423) 425-5220 in order to receive an exemption from the Orientation program.
The state of Tennessee requires that all students enrolled in state colleges and universities meet certain immunization requirements. UTC students must submit a completed immunization form before they are eligible to register for classes.
If you want to park in a UTC lot, you'll need a decal. There are two kinds of parking decals at UTC - reserved and general. Reserved (blue) decals guarantee you a post in a specific lot. Reserved decal holders can also park in any general lot. A general (yellow) decal enables you to park in your general lot, but not in a reserved lot. UTC sells an unlimited number of general decals.
After you register for courses, you will receive a financial statement called the "Mocs Express Statement from the University sent to your UTC email account. This statement will reflect all tuition that you owe, plus any housing, meal plan and other applicable fees. Your financial aid and scholarships will also be credited on the statement. If you don't pay by the deadline, you will be dropped from your courses.
