Mocs News

A weekly series of short news updates funded by
Student
Development and University Relations that are produced entirely by UTC
students. This project provides COMM students the opportunity to
participate in ongoing TV news production from writing stories and
reporting
to shooting, editing, and running studio equipment; and it provides the
entire student body with timely news coverage and a student’s
perspective on
local and world news.

R U Serious? is the latest sports show covering everything you need to know about local, national, and international sports.

Produced by students in COMM 345, this program provides a unique insight into the lives of college students at UTC.

Hosted by Chuck Cantrell and produced at WDSI FOX 61, this monthly program spotlights various activities and ongoing projects that UTC has to offer.

Produced by Missy Crutchfield, this quarterly magazine program spotlights UTC’s involvement in the Chattanooga community and has focused on Art, Business, and Entrepreneurs.
Take Five

The UTC English department presents this series of lectures and literary discussions each summer. It is videotaped and packaged for later broadcast by the UTC TV Studio.

A public service program dedicated to sharing information about Chattanooga’s service organizations that provide help to caregivers of those with disabilities. Produced by the UTC TV Studio.
Teens Talk: Ignite

Sponsored by WTVC NewsChannel 9, Comcast,

and others, this weekly program allows teens to openly discuss a
variety of
topics including education, politics, and entertainment. Produced at
the
UTC TV Studio and broadcast on NewsChannel 9.
Point of View
Produced in partnership with WDEF News 12 and the Arts and Education Council and hosted by Booker T. Scruggs, each month one of the weekly episodes is produced at UTC with a live student audience who are able to ask questions and participate in discussion of that show’s topic.
First Sunday
Produced monthly by WDEF and and Arts and Education Council and rebroadcast on Cable 3 by UTC, occasionally interviews with guest speakers to UTC and professors are taped by the UTC TV Studio.
Town Hall Series

A live broadcast from the UTC TV Studio to Comcast

in which local leaders discuss issues facing our community take email
and
telephone questions.
