Make a Video

Any campus department developing a video production for recruitment/publicity must submit their script and an approval form to University Relations before the Television Studio can assist that department. University Relations will then assist departments with determining the project’s scope, costs, and schedule video production services.

Faculty members making video presentations for classroom instruction should contact the Walker Teaching Resource Center to determine the project’s scope, to get assistance writing grants, and to schedule use of the Television Studio ’s facilities.

Faculty who wish to assign their students a video presentation will need to work out arrangements for their class to use the Studio prior to the beginning of the semester (for instance, COMM classes or Physical Therapy).

Students who need to use the facility to make a video production for a class assignment must contact the Television Studio directly. The project must be approved by a professor and arrangements to use equipment must be made at least one month in advance.

The Television Studio will provide the facilities and necessary equipment for video production, but is not responsible for production arrangements such as scheduling talent, inviting guests, writing scripts, etc. The Television Studio is responsible for scheduling and basic instruction on the use of the Center’s facilities. The Technology Specialist is responsible for technical assistance with production.

Agencies outside of the University: Requests will be forwarded to the advisory committee and a decision to assist that agency will be made based on the following criteria:

  • Does this group support the mission of UTC?
  • Does this video production support our requirement of public service?
