1998 UTC Instructional Excellence Retreat:

--Ten Years of Excellence--

The Instructional Excellence Retreat is a time when faculty from across the campus come together to explore teaching and learning issues. Registration is free for UTC faculty. Lodging and meals are provided.

University of Vermont's ProfessorToby Fulwiler, a nationally recognized authority on writing, writing instruction, and "writing across the curriculum" will lead a workshop on improving learning through writing and writing assessment.

(To read the material about Toby, you'll need Adobe's "Acrobat Reader" for your computer. To download
the reader from the Adobe web-site, click on the "Get Arobat Reader.")

The only thing you pay for is transportation. The retreat is offered in the relaxed environment of Watts Bar Resort and time is allotted for reflection and sharing with faculty from across disciplines.

Space is limited and is available on a first come, first serve basis. To save your space, call Sandy Zitkus, x4597 or e-mail Sandy at sandy-zitkus@utc.edu

You'll want to check the "How to Get There & What to Bring List."
