Instructional Excellence Committee

NEW: Academic Integrity Resources

The Instructional Excellence Committee is charged with providing opportunities for faculty to improve teaching.  The committee primarily does this in two different ways.

• Grants for instructional excellence projects designed to enhance classroom instruction proposed by faculty.

• GRANT DEADLINES for 2007-2008:
  • September 18, 2007, 5:00 pm
  • January 23, 2008, 5:00 pm
NOTE: Pre-proposal meetings are planned for the following days: September 5 - 6, 2007 and January 9 - 10, 2008. Watch UTCINFO for specific times and locations. The pre-proposal meeting will review the definition of "instructional excellence" and committee members will be there to discuss what to include in your proposal to increase your chances of funding.

• Submit one hard copy and one electronic copy of the proposal. The hard copy of the proposal (including the department head signature) must be received by the 5:00 pm deadline. The electronic copy (without a cover sheet) should be sent as a WORD or pdf attachment to chair of the committee and must also be received by the 5:00 pm deadline. In the subject heading of the email, type the words "IE proposal" and your name. The message box should include your name and the title of your proposal. Proposals received after the deadline will not be considered for this round of funding, but may be considered for subsequent rounds, as funding permits.
