Student Support Services/Project Focus
Program Goals
- Provide academic support to students who meet federal eligibility criteria. Enable students to achieve academic success that is commensurate with their academic potential and the efforts they invest in academic endeavors. Improve the graduation and retention rates of program participants.
- Foster an institutional climate supportive of the success of program participant.
The degree to which the program accomplishes its goals depends upon the individual participants. The challenge for the participant is to know the available services and to use them as effectively and efficiently as possible. Each participant has a substantial investment, financially as well as other, in the program. For this investment to be productive, the combined cooperation and effort of the program, the staff, and the participant is required.
