About the UTC Student Alumni Council
As current students, the SAC members serve as ambassadors to the University by offering support and providing volunteer assistance to UTC and the Office of Alumni Affairs. As official student representatives for UTC, SAC Ambassadors pledge their loyalty to the University's goals of serving the community by preparing our student body through academic, athletic, recreational and civic engagement opportunities. SAC also serves as the leadership team for The Future Alumni Membrs (The FAM).

S.A.C. Mission Statement
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Student Alumni Council was formed in 1974 under the direction of the UTC Office of Alumni Affairs as a link between prospective students, current students, alumni, administration, faculty, staff, friends and the community. The council cooperates with the University of Tennessee National Alumni Association,Tthe University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Office of Alumni Affairs and the Association for Student Advancement Programs (ASAP).
S.A.C. Purpose
- To encourage prospective students to attend UTC
- To enhance present student involvement in the University
- To facilitate an active relationship between students and alumni
- To cultivate future alumni involvement from the current student population
- To establish identity through special events, community service, social activities and
- Tto serve as ambassadors for the University (Alumni, Chancellor, Athletics, Academic Colleges, etc.)
