Welcome to the home page of the Chemistry Club and the Student Affiliates of the American Chemical Society. Our goal is to provide an environment where students can expand their awareness of chemistry and exchange information with faculty and colleagues.
The society is involved with the university as well as the community. The students participate in orientation throughout the year providing information about UTC and the chemistry department. The students are also involved with at secondary schools and local children's museum demonstrating chemical reactions. The last couple of years have also included Green Chemistry awareness. They have emphasized recycling of material and general environmental awareness.
The students in the club are kept informed of local employment and graduate school opportunities. Society members can submit a poster to a National and/or Regional American Chemical Society Meeting to show their involvement around campus and community.
Finally, it is an organization that blends education with social networking. The students are able to socialize with the faculty and administration during the many functions throughout the year.
