UTC Residency Requirements
In order to better prepare students for academic success, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga will be implementing a Freshmen Residency Requirement beginning Fall 2005. All Freshmen will be required to live in campus housing for 1 year. UTC is committed to student success! Research shows students who live on campus have higher GPA’s than those that do not and those who live on campus graduate at a higher rate than those that do not live on campus.
For your convenience, freshmen will have the opportunity explore several different housing options with different lease terms. To learn more about UTC Housing, please visit our website at www.utc.edu/housing.
We will begin accepting housing applications online in late January 2005. The earlier you are admitted to UTC the better your chances to get the housing of your choice!
