Evaluation, Documentation, and Treatment of patients with; hand trauma (including crush injury, gunshot wounds, and tendon lacerations), traumatic brain injuries, and cerebral vascular accidents. Assisted in the development of the policies and procedures of Occupational Therapy services to be provided to this Chemical dependency unit. Planned coordinated, and implemented Occupational Therapy intervention on the unit through groups addressing stress management, assertiveness, values clarification, and positive achievement through use of woodworking and craft media. This was implemented in the simulated life task setting of Easy Street modules. Hands on treatment of chemically dependent patients and related diagnoses.

Assisted in the policy and procedure revision for Occupational Therapy intervention with psychiatric diagnoses. Hands on evaluation and treatment of patients with psychiatric diagnoses such as: borderline and antisocial personality disorders, depression, schizophrenia, and bipolar and paranoid disease processes. planned and implemented a Men’s Issues group process program. Consulted with Main Occupational Therapy Department for the Computerization of treatment and record keeping. Assisted in the training of both secretarial and professional staff for computer literacy.
