Charles T. Hart M.Ed., OTR
Curriculum
Vitae
I grew up in north Louisiana in
the little but historic town of Natchitoches.
(Which is actually several years older than New Orleans. Not that
I was around.) Natchitoches was a good place to grow up in that
there was lots of opportunity for creativity development (AKA there was
not much to do).
I earned a bachelors degree in Occupational
Therapy from Northeast Louisiana
University in Monroe, La and then worked for a while in Tuscaloosa
AL in this field as a hand therapist. I then returned to teach at
my alma mater for about 10 years and worked with many a wonderful
student in this setting. I picked up a Masters of Education in
instructional media during this time.
After moving to Chattanooga, I helped start the
Occupational Therapy program
at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and got it kick started
on
the way to successful accreditation, all the while eyeing the great
work
going on over in the Walker Teaching Resource Center. During this
time I started working on a Doctorate in Education through the
University of Tennessee at Knoxville and am permanently ABD (All but
dissertation).
I am married with two wonderful children
and live by the Tennessee River west of Chattanooga.
