Scholarship
The University of Tennessee at
Chattanooga?s InfoSec Center, a Center
for Information Security and Assurance (CISA), will offer U.S. Department of
Defense (DoD) scholarships in information assurance beginning in 2008-09
academic year. The scholarships (number to be determined by DoD) will cover
full tuition, related books, required fees, room and board and a yearly stipend
of $17,000 for graduate students and $12,000 for undergraduates.
The scholarships will be available
to full-time UTC juniors, seniors, and graduate students who meet eligibility
requirements. Applicants must be majoring in a field associated with computer
and network security and its management, including biometrics, engineering,
computer science or computer programming, computer support, data base
administration, computer systems analysis, operations research, information
security, and business management or administration.
After completing their degrees,
recipients must be willing to work for the U.S. Department of Defense for one
calendar year for each year of financial support received or serve two years in
the Reserves or National Guard for each year of financial support.
