Professor Craig Laing, a colleague at UTC and a geographer with extensive East Asia experience, developed these materials that focus upon the cultural landscapes of Japan. Please work through parts one and two (below). You will find numerous illustrative photographs, and you can enlarge the photographs by clicking over the photo. Please allow approximately twenty minutes for Part 1 and 40 minutes for Part 2, since it has a number of interesting links.
