Welcome to the Women's Center

 

The UTC Women’s Center’s mission is to promote an equitable and empowering environment for all UTC students faculty and staff. We encourage personal, social and intellectual growth within a diverse community by providing comprehensive programs, services, and outreach activities. We will create a community for women as they empower themselves and each other with the goal of enhancement of women’s lives.

  • The UTC Women's Center will work toward this mission through various activities and outreach projects:
    • Community building events
      • Brown Bag Films
      • Women’s Resources (i.e. library, computer and internet access)
      • Constituent Group Meetings
    • Incorporation of women’s groups on campus
      • Women’s Action Council
      • Women’s Studies Program
      • Peer Education Group
      • Sororities
      • Female Athletes
    • Create partnerships with multi-cultural affairs and international student organizations
    • Implement programming that incorporates diversity issues
    •
