Dance Integration Workshops

Integrating Dance

K-12, Higher Ed classroom teachers & arts specialists

Learn about the issues of practice in integrating dance with math, science, language arts, or social studies. The workshop focuses on foundational ideas in designing concept-based dance integration lessons, backwards design, assessment tools and strategies, and ways to share the ephemeral nature of work.

Dance can be integrated with many other disciplines with integrity for learning in targeted content areas. Lessons are based on a conceptual framework to enable students to engage in 21st Century skils and apply the tenants of integration to their learning. They following are some dance integration possibilities, which also be springboards for other residency ideas for you or your students. Possibilities are endless!
