The production is also a research project investigating the interplay of technology and creative process.
the net generation
Today’s youth have grown up with information technology that has created a global community. Considered by some as digital natives, they live much of their lives online and offline. Instead of thinking of their digital identity and their real-space as separate things, they just have an identity. For these young people, new digital technologies – computers, smart phones, tablets – are primary mediators of human-to-human connections. The Net Generation has an openness to diversity, differences, and sharing. They are at ease meeting strangers on the Internet. Many of their exchanges are emotionally open, sharing very personal information. They have developed a mechanism of inclusiveness that does not necessarily involve personally knowing someone admitted to their group. Being a friend of a friend is acceptable.
