The
following procedures will be followedto
dismiss a student from the PRISM
program.
The
Director or the Coordinator will be notified about student misconduct .
The student will meet with the Director and Coordinator to discuss his/her
behavior.
After discussing the student's behavior, the director may require the student
to
arrange a meeting with
his/her parents to determine if he/she will be allowed to continue in the program. The
meeting should be arranged within a 24 hour period. The results of the meeting
will determine if the student will continue in the program.
If the student is placed on probation, both parents and the student will
be notified of the conditions of the continued participation in the program.
If it is determined that the continued participation of the student in the
program is not in the best interests of the program, the student will be
asked to leave the program at the end of the meeting between the parents
and the director.
After a meeting with the parents, further misconduct of any kind will result
in the immediate suspension from the program.
The director may dismiss a student at any time without meeting the parents
if the student presents a threat to the interests and the orderly conduct
of the program.
