BOOK LOANER PROGRAM

TEXTBOOK LOAN POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

  1. Textbooks are loaned to DREAMWork participants on a first- come- first serve basis for the current semester.  Textbooks are due back to the DREAMWork office immediately after the student has completed the semester finals.  All loaned textbooks must be returned in good condition in order to avoid losing loan privileges for ALL future semesters.
  2. Students are not loaned copies of all their textbooks.  DREAMWork staff implement a policy of equity in loaning textbooks, so that as many students as possible are able to take advantage of the textbook loan program.
  3. Students are only loaned textbooks for current registered courses.  All textbooks requests will be verified by the Project Manager to assure students are officially enrolled in courses.
  4. Students requesting a textbook loan will be evaluated by DREAMWork staff to determine if he/she participated in DREAMWork program services and activities.  Students must be active in DREAMWork the semester prior to the textbook loan request. Students requesting a textbook loan for their initial semester of DREAMWork participation will have their request evaluated on a case by case basis.
  5. Students are expected to fully complete a Textbook Loan request form.  When a student returns the textbook/textbooks at the end of the semester, a DREAMWork staff member will fill in the return date and initial the return of each textbook.
