Desired Outcomes/Competencies:
1. Students can name qualifications to be President.
2. Students can answer questions about the current President and his job.
3. Students will write letters to President.

Description of the Process:

  •  Explore the website.
  •  Answer questions about the job of President.
  •  Discuss qualifications of the President.
  •  Discuss requirements of those seeking the job of President.
  •  Students will write or dictate a letter to the President.
  •  Invite government official to visit and discuss his local job and how it relates to the President.
Follow up Questions:
1. What are some of the previous jobs that the President has held?
2. What subjects did the President like in school?
3. How do they help him in his job?
4. What skills help the President be an effective leader?
