External: Mall, construction site
Desired Outcomes/Competencies:
1. Students will identify at least five jobs involved the constructing and managing a mall.
2. Students can incorporate graphics from the internet as a means of illustrating projects.
Description of the Process:
- Explore the website-online shopping
- What stores to you want to include? (discussion)
- Selection of mall site( where, why, etc)
- How are the stores and mall constructed?
- Make a collage of pictures on poster board.
- Take a final trip to a mall
- Invite employees from construction site and mall stores to discuss the skills needed for their jobs
- Students will be given opportunity to share with the class the information that has been learned.
