Description of the Process:
- Have students read editorials in the newspaper
- Brainstorm ideas as a class about school/current events
- Narrow ideas to 4-5
- Write a first draft directed to the principal or editor
- Edit with a partner
- Write a final draft
- Share with class
- Send to principal or editor
- Trip to newspaper office
