Narrative: The Maury County Education/Community/Business Partnership began in 1997. Over a period of six months, the partnership constructed a vision and goals, which would help the community "prepare students for the workforce and improve the future quality of life in Maury County." Goal Teams were formed around each of the goals:

Each Goal Team has conducted a number of activities, which has given the partnership the foundation it needs to carry its mission forward.
· Educators/Administrators
· Community
· Social Issues & Family Involvement
· Facilities & Equipment
· Curriculum
· Public Relations
· Bonfire Committee
It Works! The Maury County Partnership has developed an infrastructure that will enable the partnership to carry forward activities that will continue to support the community's need for quality workforce. These activities represent a range of concerns and solutions to mission attainment and include such initiatives as conducting a survey of 1000 Maury County jobs and their relationship to career cluster; sponsoring FAMS, apprenticeships, teacher "think tanks, Math Institutes, teacher shadowing and internships; and curriculum mapping in every school.
