Narrative: The Cougar Corner is a Marketing II student enterprise. To enable students to learn skills in a hands-on environment a store was opened on campus by Marketing II teacher Debbie Laxton. Students tracked popular selling items and ordered these supplies from Sam's Warehouse. They learned how to price products, market the store, operate a cash register and how to purchase and inventory products. All Marketing II Students are involved for a six-week period.
It Works! Cougar Corner runs and operates exactly like any small business in the community. It is self-sustaining with any profits used to support local charitable organizations.
