- Is open to all members of the community.
- Meets at 7 pm the first Tuesday of each month in
206 Grote Hall on the campus of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga
- Dues are $8 per year for a single, $12 per year
for a couple
and $1 per
year for children under 18 years of age. Dues cover the mailing of the
newsletter and insurance for field trips.
- August is a picnic meeting and December is the
Christmas
party. All other months have speakers.
- We have local and regional field trips to
collect fossils
and mineral

- We assist teachers and have community service
projects.
- We encourage young people and have a program for
youth in
July. The club
has a booth at
the Hamilton County Fair each year.
- The Chattanooga Geology Club is a member of the
American
Federation
of Mineralogical Societies. Members are entitled to AFMS field trips
and national conventions.
