The Introduction to Asia Conference was established in 2009 as a way to highlight the unique characteristics of Asia and Asian culture to both the campus and the community.
As a specific community outreach of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, this conference is free and open to students, academics, K-12 teachers, and the Chattanooga area in general.
This conference was started by Alice Tym, UTC Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Geography.
