Research Interests

My research area is multidisciplinary encompassing biochemistry, organic synthesis, chemical biology, toxicology, medicinal chemistry, and bioanalytical chemistry. The primary interests are summarized as follows:

 

· Regulation of cell growth and apoptosis with protein kinase C activity regulators.

· Design and development of nucleic acid binding dyes.

· Investigation on interaction of various environmental toxins with proteins and/or nucleic acids.

· Design and development of biologically active small molecules exhibiting anticancer or antiviral activity
