teaching the history of music education
course outlines and syllabi in music education
The graduate classes of Dr. William I. Bauer of Ball State
Univesity
and Dr. James F. Daugherty of the University of Kansas have
collaborated
to produce a student-compiled website that has several interesting
features.
The site is called the History
and Philosophy of North American Music Education web site. It
includes
links, an outline of the history of music education, and other features
submitted by graduate students who were students in a class at the two
universities. The site was described in a session at the 57th national
Biennial In-Serivice Conference of the MENC: The National Association
for
Music Education, on March 9, 2000, in Washington, D.C.
