(2) The Ohio Music Education Association publishes a research journal, Contributions to Music Education,and maintains abstracts of work from the past two years of the journal online.  CLICK HERE or Ohio.

(1) AERA.NET is an education and research network sponsored by the American Educational Research Association (AERA), the primary educational research organization in the U.S. The site is extensive. (3) MuSICA Database (CLICK HERE) search engine. MuSICA is short for Music & Science Information Computer Archive. The MuSICA organization maintains a comprehensive and continually updated computer-based record of scientific research on music and its biological connections. It includes a database of scientific studies, a newsletter (MuSICA Research Notes) and news/notices/items of interest. The database consists of references and abstracts on music as related to behavior, the brain and allied fields, in order to foster interdisciplinary knowledge. Topics include the auditory system, human and animal behavior, creativity, human brain / neuropsychology of music, effects of music on behavior and physiology, music education / medicine / performance / and therapy, neurobiology, perception and psychophysics. (4) The MENC has republished Mark and Gary's History of American Music Education. It was formerly published by Schirmer.

(1) The MENC has an extensive site relating to copyright. CLICK HERE.

(2) The Copyright Website is maintained by Benedict O'Mahoney who is an attorney specializing in copyright issues. O'Mahoney lets users listen to two examples of musical compositions which were the subject of a lawsuit and then lets them judge for themselves if copyright law was violated. CLICK HERE.
