Office Hours

  

12:30-1:30 M-F, and before class in EMCS 410

I teach a computer lab from 1:30 till 3:15 on Monday and Wednesday in EMCS 206 and I can assist you with your homework problems whenever I am not assisting members of the lab class.

Grading

 The regular exams will count 56% of your final grade and the comprehensive final exam is 29% of your final grade. The WHS homework is 15% of your final grade. Usually, 100-90 A, 89-80 B, 79-70 C, 69-60 D, 59-0 F, with any adjusting of the grades done by your instructor after the final exams are graded.

100 point third regular exam, Friday July 8

100 point fourth regular exam, Thursday July 14

Last day to drop this class, Friday July 15

100 point fifth regular exam, Friday July 22

Final Exam, Tuesday August 2

 

Make-up Exams

 Make up exams will be given only for extreme circumstances. Not considered extreme are: inadequate time to study for the test; another test on the same day: personel vacation: oversleeping: ignorance about the test date(this list is not exhaustive). If you must miss a test you must inform me in advance if possible; in any case you must present proof of the reasons for your absence. Your instructor will determine how the test is to be made up.
 

WHS Homework Grading

 For each web assignment there is a personal version and a common version. Your grade on the assignment is based on your score on the personal version only and only your performance on the personal version before the due date counts. If you have problems with the mechanics of using WHS, your instructor has an extra computer in his office on which you can demonstrate your difficulty. You can work the problems as many times as you wish and once you get a problem correct you cannot lose the credit for this problem. The goal is to work every problem correctly before the due date. If you choose not to participate in the web homeworks you will get a lower grade in the course.
