Grading

We will have two exams: a midterm and a final exam. Your instructor will not help you take the exams and you cannot consult with other students. Each exam will have two parts. Calculators and computers will not be allowed on the technology-free part of the exam, but they can be used during the Maple part of the exam. The Maple help function can be used and should be used to help you remember Maple syntax, but other documents can not be used. The material to be covered on each exam will be announced in class and is based on the material covered in the labs. The midterm and final exams will each count 25% of the course grade and the computer projects will be 50% of the course grade. 100-90 A, 89-80 B, 79-70 C, 69-60 D, 59-0 F. Late computer projects have a 10 point penalty for each 10 minutes that they are late. Each member of the class should maintain careful backups of the projects to avoid the corrupt Maple file problem and various other problems.
