Office Hours and Grading for Math 136

Fall 2008 Term

Office Hours

10:00-11:00 MWF and 12:00-1:00 MWF .

If you wish to talk to me at another time look for me in ECMS 410 or ECMS 206. I teach computer labs at the times listed below in EMCS 206 and I can assist you with homework problems whenever I am not assisting members of the lab class.

Grading

Each of the four regular exams are worth 22% of your final grade and the comprehensive final exam is 34% of your final grade. Usually, 100-90 A, 89-80 B, 79-70 C, 69-60 D, 59-0 F, with any adjusting of the grades done by your instructor after the final exams are graded.

First regular exam, Friday September 19

Second regular exam, Wednesday October 15

Third regular exam, Friday November 14

Final Exam Math 136.006, Monday December 8(11:00-1:00)

Make-up Exams

 Make up exams will be given only for extreme circumstances. Not considered extreme are: inadequate time to study for the test; another test on the same day: personal vacation: oversleeping: ignorance about the test date(this list is not exhaustive). If you must miss a test you must inform me in advance if possible; in any case you must present proof of the reasons for your absence. Your instructor will determine how the test is to be made up.
