How to access lectures.
The lecture video files are provided in the ".wmv" file format. Here's how this file format works. 1) If you simply click on the link, the file is downloaded. At the same time, Windows Media Player is opened and begins playing the video in a small window at the lower left of the WMP window. You can double-click on that small video window to make it fill your computer's screen. 2) If you right click on the link and choose "Open" you'll get the same result as above. 3) If you right click on the link and choose "Open in a new window", the download+play will occur in a new, large window. 4) If you right click on the link and choose "Save target as . . ." you'll be able to download the file without playing it at the same time. After the download, you can play the file any time you wish. Note - the files are HUGE - 50 MByte or larger. If you have a high speed internet connection, the download shouldn't tak more than a few minutes. If you're working from a dial-up connection, make sure you have sleeping arrangements to use while the download occurs. If you choose Option 4 above, after the file is downloaded, you'll be able to "play" it at a faster-than-normal rate. Click on the speed control in the lower right corner of the screen.
