Course
description: Trigonometric
functions, identities, and equations. Complex numbers, conic sections,
sequences and other selected topics. Chapters 5,6,7, and 9 will be covered.
Prerequisite: UTC Math Placement Test level 30, or Math 144/131
with a minimum grade of C or ACT>=26.
Assignments
and Grades:
There will be three examinations each counting 100 points and a final exam that
counts 150 points. In addition, there
will be assignments and quizzes for various point values. The total number of points scored divided by
the total number of possible will determine the course average. Course grades will then be assigned using the
scale:
A:
90-100 B:80-89
C: 70-79 D: 60-69 F: Below 60
Make-up policy: Quizzes cannot be made-up. A test can be made-up, under unusual
circumstances such as sickness or death in the family, as long as it is
arranged with the instructor at or before the actual test time. There will be no retake of any test or quiz.
