Karen I. Adsit, EdD
I have lived in New York, Georgia, Nebraska, Tennessee, Wisconsin, and
Texas. I graduated from the University of Georgia
(go DAWGS!) with a BFA in Art and taught art for five years before beginning my
second career--educational technology and biocommunications. (Click to see more
details about my professional experience). I also graduated
from the University of Nebraska (Masters, Adult
and Continuing Education/Biomedical Communications) and the University
of Houston (Doctorate, Curriculum and Instruction). (Click to see more details
about my education.)
I
currently work at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where I direct
the Grayson
H. Walker Teaching Resource Center. The
Walker Teaching Center provides faculty development and media production
assistance to faculty at UTC. My professional interests include the teaching
and learning styles, the design of multimedia and user interfaces, and implementation
factors that impact the integration of multimedia applications. If you want
more details, click below.
My husband, Keith, and I like to travel, camp, and ski. I have visited
all but three states in the United States (North Dakota, South Dakota & Montana left to go). I also collect pictures and photos
of crayons and I love to read, ride
my bike, and play computer games.
