Research Interests
My research area is multidisciplinary
encompassing biochemistry, organic synthesis, chemical biology,
toxicology, medicinal chemistry, and bioanalytical
chemistry. The primary interests are summarized as follows:
· Regulation of cell growth and apoptosis with protein kinase C activity regulators.
· Design and development of nucleic acid binding dyes.
· Investigation on interaction of various environmental toxins
with proteins and/or nucleic acids.
· Design
and development of biologically active small molecules exhibiting
anticancer or antiviral activity
