- The above costs are based upon 2007-2008 tuition and fees
- Estimates listed above do not include cost of textbooks and materials (estimated at $300 per semester)
- Financial Aid: A limited number of graduate assistantships are available at the doctoral level (part time: 10 hrs/week; full time: 20 hrs/week) during the fall and spring academic year. Assistants received a tuition waiver and monthly stipend in exchange for their service. A number of grants and student loan options are also available- please contact the Financial Aid office for more information.
* In-state fees defined: Tennessee resident or non-Tennessee resident employed in Tennessee (see current UTC graduate catalog for details). Graduate students residing in neighboring counties (N. GA/N. AL) are not currently eligible for in-state tuition rates.
** Elective cost may be reduced if any post-graduate elective credits are approved for transfer into the program of studyl.
*** Dissertation hours: Doctoral students will register for 3 graduate credit hours per semester while working on the dissertation (continuous enrollment). An excess of 12 credit hours may be needed if dissertation is not completed within a 12 credit hour time frame. These additional dissertation hours would result in a total higher cost for the degree (3 graduate hours per semester continuous enrollment until the dissertation is completed).
