Thank you for your interest in the Learning and Leadership program at UTC! Our non-traditional doctoral program is designed for working professionals interested in enhancing leadership skills and knowledge of the learning process in a variety of areas including school administration, higher education, nonprofits, corporations, etc.
This rigorous program relies heavily on group interactions and requires students to take initiative in the learning process. The EdD program consists of a minimum of 66 graduate hours to complete. All doctoral students register for core courses (6 graduate hours per semester) with fellow cohort members. The program is offered executive delivery style. Face-to-face sessions are supplemented by on-line discussions and long-term projects. Learners may elect to take focused electives at any time in consultation with his/her faculty advisor. Our next doctoral cohort will begin in June 2008.
I would be happy to answer any questions related to the program or refer you to a doctoral faculty advisor.
We look forward to receiving your application materials. Best wishes in all pursuits!
Kindly,
Becca McCashin
