EdD in Learning and Leadership
Orientation 2007
During the first week of June, the EdD faculty team and new cohort of EdD learners meet for a three-day orientation experience on the UTC campus. Goals of orientation include: Get acquainted with cohort peers, be introduced to the doctoral faculty and the courses they will facilitate, understand the role and function of the ILLP, discuss the dissertation and its role in the program. Orientation activities include panel discussions with current doctoral learners and community leaders, informational sessions from various campus representatives, guest speakers, small group activities, and a reception. The orientation proves to be a prime opportunity to reflect on personal and professional goals pertaining to doctoral work.
