IE Laboratory Policies and Safety
 

POLICIES
  • No Software will be stored or installed on the IE Lab PCs by the users. The user must understand that all computers in the lab are designed and connected to the integrated equipment. A violation of this rule will result in equipment errors.
  • No food or drinks placed on the operation tables: computer and robot tables. All food and drinks must be placed on the student or kitchen table.
  • No system will be operated without permission and observation of the responsible faculty or graduate student.
A violator of the policies will be asked to leave the lab and/or will not be allowed to use/participate in the lab dependent of the number of past incidents and your faculty advisor decision.

 

SAFETY
  • Know all emergency buttons (ASRS, SCORBOT, Teach Pendants, Controllers)
  • Be alert while starting/running the system
  • Avoid crowd too close around moving equipment
  • Keep the work area clean and free of clutter
  • Do not exceed loading capacity of a device
  • Turn-off equipment/devices before performing adjustments and maintenance
  • Press emergency button or use the ACL Command A <Enter> to stop unneeded movement of all axes
