Five days of workshops, readings, excursions, and lectures in Chattanooga, TN - voted as one of the "Best Towns in 2008" by Outside Magazine

Description:

A summertime writing conference held in Chattanooga, TN, known by the New York Times as "the undiscovered gem of Tennessee." During July 25-31, 2009, there will be workshops and master classes on poetry, fiction, novel, cross genre, and many more. These workshops and master classes will be led by writing professionals from around the country including Mark Cox, Sue William Silverman, Richard Jackson, and Marc Fitten. Workshops will also be led by Sybil Baker, Tom Balazs, Gaylord Brewer, and Rebecca Cook.

Cost:

Early Registration by June 1st: $380

After June 1st: $430

The total cost includes the following:

*5 workshops in small groups

*4 sessions with guest faculty

*A one on one consultation with one of the workshop leaders

*Saturday reception

*Riverboat cruise along the beautiful Tennessee River

*Literary Tour of the Hunter American Art Museum

*Literary Tour of Chickamauga Battlefield

*Tour of Lupton Library's Southern Writer's Room

*Performance of the play "Noises Off" at the Chattanooga Theatre Centre

*Transportation to events
