Current Health Issues Facing Our Families, Children & Communities

Presented by the UTC School of Nursing, this is a 3 day conference covering some of current issue affecting all of us including child health, dental health, emotional health, growth and development and much more. A Crash Course on Smart Grid Technology (Intelligent Energy Management)

June 4-8, 2012 in UTC's Engineering and Computer Science Building (EMCS) Room #422. This course provides an in depth knowledge of Smart Grid Technologies and is meant for engineering students, researchers, field engineers and telecom engineers. Know Nukes Y'all Summit

June 28-30, 2012. This summit serves as a gathering for environmental groups and persons concerned about the nuclear issues in the southern United States. Kodaly Institute: Professional Development in Music Education

Zoltan Kodaly was a Hungarian composer, musicologist and educator whose philosophy and writings ar the basis for the Kodaly approach to music education. Kodaly levels I, II, and III provide an in-depth study of the Kodaly approach to music edication. These course are designed to strengthen the teachers's musicianship while providing songs, techniques, materials, and activities that are used int he calssroom. Each day will feature classes in solfege, methodology, folk song collection and analysis, conducting and choral ensemble. Demonstration classes with children will be taught by Kodaly faculty members in the afternoons, providing you and opportunity to see the approach in action.
