Tutoring Program
The Adult Services Center offers FREE tutoring to all students during the fall and spring semesters. Tutoring is available in most 100 and 200 level math, biology, chemistry, and physics classes as well as most statistics classes.
Appointments for tutoring can be made by signing up in the Adult Services Center, 278 University Center, or by calling Heather Shirley at (423) 425-4485. Sign ups begin every Thursday morning at 11 a.m. and appointments are first come, first served. It is advisable to sign up as early as possible, as appointments tend to fill up quickly, especially around midterms and finals.
Tutoring sessions are conducted in the Adult Services Center and last for approximately one hour. The first time a student comes into the center for assistance, a tutoring contract must be filled out. This contract contains the rules and expectations for the tutoring program. Failing to show up for three sessions without notice will result in the student no longer being allowed to schedule tutoring appointments.
